A Design & Build opportunity that came from a need to create functional training and meeting space for an international consultancy with PLC status. A building untouched since the early 90’s, the transformation would lead to an incredible change in working culture and employee wellbeing.
The brief was to create a flexible, functional, and professional space without too much extravagance. A fine balance that we find many PLC businesses are required to meet to satisfy shareholders. Previously, the Senior team, who operate internationally, were hiring hotel conference suites to host Inductions, Training, and Board Meetings.
The objective of this project was to create an in house facility that would avoid the need for hiring external space. We were also tasked with creating a space that could double up as a break out space for teams working in the building full time.
This project started with a lengthy workplace consultation to accurately distil the clients requirements and understand precisely what cultural changes the Fit Out needed to provoke and the behaviours/usage scenarios that we would seek to encourage.
From concept design, through to completion, every decision was measured against key project drivers of flexibility and functionality, without unnecessary extravagance.
A high-quality folding wall solution, stackable chairs, modular tables all supported the goals of flexibility giving Senior PLC the ability to use the space for Training, Events, and Board Meetings.
Detailed planning, collaboration, and zero disruption were all keys to success. The finished product meet the customers requirements perfectly and we are in talks to refurbish the rest of the building following this success.
