We are extremely proud of our recent collaboration with Wickes in rejuvenating their store located in the vibrant coastal town of Blackpool. This case study sheds light on how our team contributed to the complete transformation of Wickes' Blackpool store, providing customers with a contemporary and immersive experience.
The brief from Wickes was to revitalise this existing store, aligning it with their model standards across the rest of the country. Any refurbishment project in a live trading store will always require a unique approach.
Our focus was on perfect quality, zero disruption, and safety for all. Constructing the kitchen and bathroom showroom area would demand robust quality control procedures. Combine this with an extremely short duration for 42,000sqft, we would have to bring our very best planning and performance to make this happen.
With multiple shifts working in and out of hours, our teams skilfully completed the refurbishment and Fit Out without disruption, accident, or incident. We leaned heavily on our bespoke Project Management software to manage the flow of information across a wide range of project stakeholders as well as managing quality control. The fully integrated snagging tool allowed us to compile observations in one place and assign actions to supply chain to guarantee perfection in time for handover day. Relationships with the store team were the order of the day, and this is something we invest our time into. Our presence on site in a live trading environment requires a respectful approach and constant, effective communication.
